Editing our music video, Today's lesson

On today’s lesson, we firstly watched all of the clips that we shot. We saw the footages that we absolutely adored and there were some clips that we didn’t due to the fact that some of them were recorded dodgy through shakiness and some were wrong. The footages that we were definite about we named them “Yes 1…2…3” and etc. This way it would make it easier to know which footages we are going to use instead of deleting them because you never know if the might come in handy during the progression of editing.

After, we then added our song into Final Cut Pro and started to put our footages in sync with the song. There was some heat between the our group in choosing what footages should be the opening to our music video because we had a lot of great shots that seemed appropriate to be at the beginning. But we managed to choose the right footage that should go at the beginning.

Here is one of the positions

Here you can see our group editing some of the footages so that it can be in time with the song. In this scene, our objective is to have jump cuts of “Yumi” from one position to another on each of the words to the last bit of the song. We hope to create a scene where our artist “Yumi” is going from different, fast positions to show her state of mind and how passionate and almost angry she is feeling.
