Planning for Music Video

Before actually getting down to the making of the storyboard and deciding what kind of shots and angels we should have in our music video, we looked at other music video's to give us inspiration.
These three were:
- Example - "Kickstart"

This is the link to the music video, (my laptop wouldn't allow me to upload the video)

We liked the idea of the split screen so we thought we'd consider having this within our video, whats being filmed would be different, we decided that it would be close up of the new look the singer is going to have on to emphasize on her differences.

This was also a really good technique of editing which gave us ideas to consider, but we didn't put it in.

This is the video by Coldplay -" Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall"

This was another amazing video with wicked editing techniques, which just shows (in my own point) the video is way better than the song.

The writing on the wall, and the singer being in front of the writing is really good, this gave us idea's, and we decided to include something like this within our video, but have it as our base track.

This animated writing on the wall was another inspiration to our music video, we also decided to have something like this within our video, we decided this because just the whole idea of keeping as something nice and attractive to look at even thought our song is quiet an emotional sad song.

This is Beyonce - "Sweet Dreams"
This video also was a start to new ideas for our video, Beyonce tends to do alot of close ups on her face and these shots are where she looks directly into the camera, so its a passive look, makes the audience feel that she is directly looking at them, this technique is used alot within music video's.

Here we have a close up of her face, and in this she looks directly into the camera, we also decided to use this idea.
