Researching Ancillary products

The artist that originally performs the song "who you are"; Jessie J has a mixture of genres within her music. There's RnB, Hip-Hop,Reggae and Soul. The following pictures are of digipaks by other artists that's hare the same genre as the song we have picked.

This is Mariah Carey's Digipak, this is quiet an old one, but it just shows the typical conventions of an RnB artist promoting her music. Thee'rs the close up's of the artists herself, there's some information about herself and theme which is black and gold carries on in her picture, her hair is blond and her outfit is black. This idea of having close up's of the artists in a simple costume is something that I would like to convey into my digipak because i feel it portrays the music that we have done.

This digipak is Madonna's. Here we have a party theme going on. She's known for her dance, pop and rock styles of music. Here the difference is that her picture is a full shot of her most likely performing. One of the Cd's is probably an exclusive extra that a fan would get only with the purchase of this.

This is a recent digipak by Katy Perri. Again typical convention of photos of the artist, same colour theme going on. The extra thing with this is i think its the CD that smells of cotton candy.

These three digipaks relate to the audience that the song that we have done as wel. They o out to young people with a passion for music and identity but mostly going out to young females. They all have a genre which is found in the orignal artist of our song "who you are".
